RECOMENDATION |
It is recommended to leave a maximum distance of 41 cm between joists.
Leave a gap of at least 5 mm between boards, using an element of this thickness as a guide.
Every 4 pieces, check the distance you have covered is the same and correct the following boards if necessary.
Use 3 1/2" galvanised screws. Specially designed screws are available for this purpose.
To fix the boards start at one end and work your way to the next. Place 2 screws in the ends and 1 or 2 in the intermediate joists.
If it is necessary to join pieces lengthwise, do this alternately.
The boards must not protrude more than 30 cm from the edge of the rim joist. |
